A Message from the General Manager, Nursing

On May 5th every year the world is asked to join in celebrating the work of midwives and midwifery. The idea of the International Day of the Midwife (IDM) was borne through the efforts of the International Confederation of Midwives following discussions among Midwives Associations.

The International Day of the Midwife is an occasion for every individual midwife to think about the many others in the profession, to make new contacts within and outside midwifery, and to widen the knowledge of what midwives do for the world.
