The Management and staff of the South-West Regional Health Authority joins the worldwide community in recognising International Women’s Day. In keeping with this year’s theme “Be Bold for Change” we encourage you to help forge a better world for women by challenging bias and inequality, campaigning against violence and championing women’s education and. So, be bold for change, celebrate women’s achievements and support women and girls as they pursue their dreams.

World Kidney Day Health Fair at SFGH

The Renal Services at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) will be hosting a Health Fair to commemorate World Kidney Day on Thursday 9th March, 2017. The fair will be held at the SFGH foyer from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The community is invited to visit the booths to learn about kidney care, proper nutrition, and medication usage.  Blood pressure and glucose screening will also be available.  

Cultural Explosion at SWRHA Carnival Lime

Carnival Cooler Lime 2017 was an explosion of cultural creativity as staff representing the various departments and facilities of the South-West Regional Health Authority showcased their talents on Friday 17th February. The competition segment began with the Ole Mas Individual and Band Competitions followed by the Song Competition. To the delight of those present, Guest Artiste Sekon Star took to the stage with an energetic performance of his popular hits. There was an encore performance from People’s Choice winner Kevin “Trotty” Trotman.
