San Fernando, 18^th September, 2017. Healthcare services were temporarily suspended at the Rochard Douglas Health Centre in order to facilitate repairs to the roof of the health centre. As an interim measure, healthcare services and staff were relocated to the Lengua Health Centre on Tuesday 27th June, 2017.

Pharmacy Services at the La Romaine Health Centre will be closed on Wednesday 13th September, 2017. Persons are advised to visit their closest health centre or the Outpatients Pharmacies at the San Fernando General and Teaching Hospital.

The South-West Regional Health Authority continues to improve patient services. The Training and Development Unit, Human Resources Department hosted a patient hoist training on the 22nd of August at the Northern Conference Room on Level 8, San Fernando Teaching Hospital.This training was done to make persons aware of the Patient Lift or Patient Hoist system and how beneficial it can be to both caregivers and patients.

Kindly be advised that the Emergency Department at the Siparia District Health Facility will be closed from 4:00 p.m. on Friday 1st September, 2017. Services will resume on Monday 4th September, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. This temporary closure has become necessary to accommodate spraying of the facility.

The South-West Regional Health Authority proudly recognises the Quality Improvement Department for receiving the Certificate of Achievement in honour of its role as a Valued Collaborator. The certificate was presented by the I-Tech University of Washington on July 20th, 2017 at the Trinidad Hilton. 

​Please be advised that the Debe Health Centre will be open from 9:00am on Friday 25th due to the completion of remedial works on that day.
