In keeping with the theme of this year’s National Nutrition Awareness Week “Go Further with Foods,” the staff at the Nutrition and Dietetics Department encouraged persons to learn more about healthy foods and make healthy eating choices at their annual health fair, held on June 13^th, 2018 at the San Fernando Teaching Hospital. Persons visiting the various booths were treated to body composition analysis, food sampling and displays, sample meal displays and nutrition education materials.

On behalf of the Medical Director Primary Health Care (Ag.), kindly note that there will be a change in operating hours  at the Ste. Madeleine Health Centre from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for tomorrow Wednesday 13^th June, 2018 only.

The staff at the Cedros Health Centre hosted a health fair for persons in the Cedros community on May 25^th, 2018. The day’s proceedings started with an exercise session with Mr. Collins and a demonstration from Mr. Paul Pargoo from the Ministry of Agriculture.

Does the one who emotionally or physically abuses you makes you feel guilty or blames you for their negative actions towards you? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions or know of someone who is being abused, to whom can you turn?

The Siparia District Health Facility will be closed on Friday 8^th June, 2018 from 6:00pm. Services will resume on Monday 11^th June, 2018 at 8:00 am. This is to accommodate spraying of the facility.

Primary Health Care Services can be accessed at the Fyzabad and Penal Health Centres: Saturday from 8:00 am – 12:00 noon.

Corpus Christi, is a celebration of Christ’s death and resurrection. It provides an opportunity for us to reflect on the solidarity between God and man.

It is believed that anything planted on this day will continue to thrive, may we plant seeds of unity, love and hope in our workplaces, homes and communities, as we continue to work together to enhance our nation.
