Autism Awareness Charity Event: 'For the Love of Pan' Book Launch

The South-West Regional Health Authority’s Community Paediatric team in collaboration with Community Chest Limited and Support Autism TnT launched a novel, ‘For the Love of Pan’ on Sunday 24th November 2018 at the Naparima Girls High School Auditorium. The novel was written by Dr. Bahadursingh, Consultant Community Paediatrician, SWRHA.

What Is Hand Foot And Mouth Disease (HFMD)? 

Hand, Foot and Mouth disease is a mild, contagious illness caused by a virus. It mainly affects younger children, usually under 10 years. Older children and adults are not usually at high risk, but may also develop a milder form of the illness compared to younger children. MOST CHILDREN FULLY RECOVER WITHIN A WEEK. Serious complications are rare. This disease is not related to the disease with a similar name which affects animals.

Spearheaded by Ms. Kelli Jeffers, Registered Nurse and staff at the St. Patrick East Cluster in collaboration with members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Victim and Support Counselling Unit and Christian-based motivational group Freedom Generation, the Principles for Effective Living Youth Development Series aim to positively affect the lives of students by assisting them with character development.

International Children`s Day: Our Children Imprint Our Hearts

“Our Children Imprint our Hearts” was the theme of International Children’s Day 2018, celebrations hosted by staff on the Paediatric Wards at the San Fernando General and Teaching Hospital on November 20th, 2018. Registered Nurses Carolyn Ramkelawan, Sabita Maharaj, Jennise Whiteman and treated the children to a puppet show and joined them in singing “If you happy and you know it”.
