Kindly be advised that on Tuesday 8th January 2019, Extended Hours Services will be temporarily suspended at the Fyzabad Health Centre.
Healthcare services at the Claxton Bay Health Centre will be temporarily suspended from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday 8th January, 2019 due to a lack of electricity and water supply at the facility.

Thirteen mothers welcomed newborn babies at the San Fernando General and Teaching Hospital on New Year’s Day 2019. The Gynaecology Department's dedicated medical, nursing and midwives teams successfully performed nine normal deliveries and four C-sections on that day. Among them were triplets, one boy and two girls, which were successfully delivered respectively at 11:35 a.m., 11:36 a.m. and 11:37 a.m. via C-section. The procedure was led by Drs.
The Minister of Health, the Honourable Terrance Deyalsingh, Mrs. Valerie Alleyne-Rawlins SWRHA’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Keith Mc Donald, Chief Executive Officer visited the Postnatal Ward at the San Fernando General and Teaching Hospital on January 1st, 2019 to interact with mothers of babies born on New Year’s Day and present them with hampers. Four babies, two girls and two boys, were born New Year’s Day. The first New Year’s Day baby was a girl born to Ms. Roxanne Riley Webster at 12:09 a.m.
