World Cancer Day 2019..

The SWRHA joins the world today, February 4th, in recognising World Cancer Day 2019. World Cancer Day empowers persons worldwide to show support, raise a collective voice and take personal action to inspire and empower others in the fight against cancer. This year marks the launch of the three-year campaign themed “I am and I will”. This three-year theme is a call-to-action encouraging persons to make a renewed commitment to cancer presentation, take individual action to educate others about cancer and encourage and empower those living with cancer.

Flanagin Town Health Centre Domestic Violence and the Role of the Medical Social Worker

“One in every six women and one in every 30 men go through some type of abuse,” said Ms. Gita Jaglal-Bankay, Medical Social Worker I, and County Caroni at a lecture on Domestic Violence and the Role of the Social Worker in the Community at the Flanagin Town Health Centre on January 23rd, 2019.

Public Advisory: Temporary Interruption at SDHF POSTPONED!!

The South-West Regional Health Authority wishes to advise the public that the full scale emergency evacuation exercise carded to occur at the Siparia District Health Facility today, Friday 18th January 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. has been postponed until further notice.
