The South-West Regional health Authority (SWRHA) wishes to advise that the following body listed remains unclaimed at the Mortuary of the San Fernando General Hospital. Harold Biju of # 31 Lewis Road, Princes Town Admitted on April 14, 2018 to Ward 8, San Fernando General Hospital Died on July 26, 2018 on Ward 10D Male at the San Fernando Teaching Hospital.

The SWRHA would like any known relative or next of kin of the above mentioned to kindly contact the San Fernando General Hospital urgently at 652-3581/6 Extension 3250.

NO MALARIA OUTBREAK IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

Port-Spain, August 28th, 2018: The Ministry of Health (MoH) wishes to assure the public that there is no Malaria outbreak in Trinidad and Tobago. The confirmed cases of malaria recorded thus far for the year are not unusual. The majority of confirmed cases in Trinidad and Tobago are imported from neighbouring countries.

From hearing about my family and friends’ experiences in the hospital and past newspaper articles, I went expecting the worst.

From the process of registration to triage, the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Siparia DHF Youth Forum

Positive Minds, Productive Outcomes Youth Forum

The Siparia District Health Facility in collaboration with the Siparia District Health Facility Community Partnership Board held a Youth Forum at the Siparia Community Centre on Friday 17th August, 2018, to commemorate United Nations International Youth Day. The forum aimed to educate and empower youths in the St. Patrick East community, equip young people with the skills to positively respond to stressful situations, effectively manage their mental health and develop problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Notice: Temporary Closure of Princes Town District Health Facility

The Princes Town District Health Facility will be closed on Friday 24th August, 2018 from 3:00 pm services will resume on Monday 27th August, 2018 at 6:00 am

This is to accommodate spraying and cleaning of the Emergency Department.

Primary Health Care Services can be accessed at the Indian Walk, Pleasantville and Marabella Health Centres:

  • Friday from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Saturday from 8:00 am – 12:00 noon.

24-hour Emergency Services are available at the San Fernando General Hospital.
