"The Editor: I write to express my sincere gratitude to Drs' Baksh and Roopnarine, the A&E nursing and X-Ray staff of the Princes Town District Health Facility for their kind and efficient services on the morning of September 3.
In like manner, I also commend Drs' Alexander and Ragbir of the Orthopedic Dept.
The Wardsmaids Department continued their Wardsmaids Appreciation Month Celebrations with a Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Tuesday 25th September, 2018. The service aimed to inspire and motivate Wardsmaids in the South-West Regional Health Authority. Ms. Debra Fletcher, Domestic Supervisor II from St. Ann’s Hospital gave an inspirational motivational speech encouraging Wardsmaids to be proud of their profession and perform their duties with a smile and provide the best service.

In 1968, the first batch of eighty (80) nurses entered the Basic Comprehensive Nursing Program in the School of Nursing San Fernando (building now used for oncology). This year 2018 marks their 50th Anniversary in Nursing.
The Physiotherapy Department continued their Physiotherapy Week celebrations by hosting an information booth in the San Fernando General Hospital’s Foyer on Wednesday 12th September, 2018. Staff interacted with clients and members of the public, answering questions on physiotherapy and disseminated educational material.
