Update on SFGTH Mortuary
San Fernando, 4th September, 2019: The South-West Regional Health Authority wishes to respond to the report aired on CCN TV6 News on Tuesday 3rd September, 2019 entitled “Claims of Morgue Fridge Not Working”.
Registered Nurse Claudette Stanisclaus culminated breastfeeding presentations at the Gran Couva Health Centre on August 29th, 2019. These lectures were held every Thursday morning during the month of August, as part of the Health Centre’s annual Breastfeeding Programme.

The Pan American Health Organisation in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and SWRHA’s Training and Development Unit, Human Resources Department will host this Workshop at the San Fernando General and Teaching Hospital from September 2nd to 7th, 2019. A mass casualty event can overwhelm a healthcare system, causing casualties to exceed resources and capabilities in a short time.

Please be advised that services at the Physiotherapy Department located at Ground Floor San Fernando General Hospital has been temporarily suspended from Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th August, 2019 in order to accommodate the relocation of the Department to the Ground Floor San Fernando General Hospital’s Foyer Area, opposite the Medical Director Secondary Care Services and the Nursing Administration Office. All appointments for this time have been re-scheduled and services will resume on Monday 2nd September 2019.
LAST Wednesday, Dana Lemessey, 29, from Icacos, Cedros, gave birth to triplets at the San Fernando General Hospital.
Although she is in pain as she recovers from childbirth, Lemessey managed a smile as she spoke about her newborn baby girls.
“I thank God for giving me three girls.”
When Newsday spoke to her on Monday, Lemessey had one of her three babies with her, as the two others were still in an incubator.

Kindly be advised that the Palo Seco and Erin Health Centre will be closed at 12:30pm today, Tuesday 27th August 2019, due to a disruption in the electrical supply.
