The Infection Prevention and Control Unit commemorates World Hand Hygiene Day

The Infection Prevention and Control Unit will be commemorating World Hand Hygiene Day on Thursday 5th May, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the San Fernando General Hospital’s Foyer. This event aims to sensitize both healthcare providers and patients on the importance of clean, sanitary hands in medical care. Hygienic hands save lives by improving the care practices in healthcare institutions, and preventing the occurrence of patient infection.
