The staff and residents of the Extended Care Centre, Couva will be spending the day at the La Vega Estate Facilities, Gran Couva where they will host a picnic on July 13th, 2016. This outdoor activity will provide an opportunity for residents to re-orient themselves with the external environment and will promote social interaction among residents, families and caregivers. This picnic will also encourage physical activity and promote cognitive functioning as a well as foster family support and involvement in the care of residents.
