As the SWRHA continues to enhance our services, please be advised that the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Service has been temporarily suspended for maintenance and upgrade of the unit. Maintenance is expected to be completed by December 2017.
The Unit will be upgraded with Tim (Total Imaging Matrix) technology. Some of the major benefits include:
- Unlimited parallel full body imaging
- No patient repositioning
- Faster scan times
- Improved image quality and accuracy
- Fewer re-examinations
- Decreased breath-hold time
- Quieter, more relaxed examinations
