SWRHA recognises World Health Day 2019
The South-West Regional Health Authority joins the global community in recognising World Health Day, which is annually celebrated on April 7th, 2019. The World Health Organisation (WHO) World Health Day campaign is centred on universal health coverage. Universal Health Coverage facilitates that all people have access to the quality health services they need, when and where they need them, without financial hardship. WHO estimates that at least half of the people in the world do not receive the health services they need. Health is a human right; everyone should have the information and services they need to take care of their own health and the health of their families. This year’s theme is Universal Health Coverage: everyone, everywhere.
