In their continued thrust to promote healthy ageing and well-being among the senior citizens in the Ste. Madeleine community, staff at the Ste. Madeleine Health Centre accompanied members of the Senior Citizens Recreation Camp during their visit to the Samsara Nature Park and Petting Zoo at Penal Rock Road on August 28th, 2019. The group strolled along the nature trail, visited the mud volcano, enjoyed observing the variety of animals and plants and interacting with each other.”  According to the World Health Organisation healthy ageing involves maintaining the functional ability that allows persons to do the things they value, as well as preserving both physical and mental capacity as persons age.  Mrs. Erica Christom and Ms. Sonia Gill, District Health Visitors and staff at the Ste. Madeleine Health Centre continue to encourage and empower senior citizens in the community to healthy physical, mental and social lifestyles.
